A 35 kV power transformer is a medium-voltage substation transformer that steps 35 kV transmission/distribution voltage down to 10.5 kV, 6.3 kV or 3.15 kV for regional distribution networks, industrial plants, mines, and renewable-energy collection systems. Oil-immersed 35 kV transformers (S11 / SZ11): high insulation performance and reliability for power transmission and distribution systems, main transmission lines and industrial distribution. SZ11 models add on-load tap changing (OLTC) for automatic voltage regulation.
Dry-type 35 kV transformers (SCB / SG): fire-resistant, moisture-resistant and maintenance-reduced, widely used in industrial, medical and new-energy applications and in buildings where oil-filled units are not permitted.

Tip: If the load center sits inside a building or near occupied areas, dry-type usually wins despite the higher first cost, because it removes fire compartments, oil containment and ventilation requirements. For outdoor substation duty above ~2500 kVA, oil-immersed is the economical default.
