Insulation aging "six-degree rule": in the winding insulation temperature range of 80–130 °C, each 6 °C rise doubles the insulation aging speed - that is, the insulation life is reduced by half for every 6 °C increase.
Do not run the transformer if:
(1) the temperature rises rapidly and soon exceeds 85 °C;
(2) there is smoke inside the transformer;
(3) there is a crackling sound.
How many houses can a 50 kva transformer supply ?
