Epoxy resin transformer is a dry-type transformer with epoxy resin as insulation material. The high and low voltage copper strip (foil) windings are solidified into a high-strength fiberglass structure through vacuum casting process, achieving oil-free insulation and efficient electromagnetic conversion.
Core features of epoxy resin transformers
Flame Retardancy and Self-Extinguishing:
Epoxy resin contains aluminum hydroxide filler, which isolates oxygen and releases water vapor when exposed to fire, resulting in self-extinguishing properties and eliminating fire hazards.
Mechanical Stability:
The windings are vacuum-cast to form a monolithic package, offering strong short-circuit resistance and a partial discharge of ≤5pC.
Environmentally Friendly and Maintenance-Free:
The oil-free design eliminates leakage and contamination, and is compatible with 100% humidity environments without the need for drying.
