Core and Windings

The core is composed of laminated silicon steel sheets forming the magnetic circuit. The high-voltage winding uses thin wire to reduce current loss, while the low-voltage winding uses thick copper busbars to carry the high current.

The windings are insulated in layers, with the high-voltage winding located on the outside for improved heat dissipation.

Auxiliary Systems

Oil-Immersed Cooling: Insulating oil serves as both a cooling medium and an insulating layer. An oil conservator on top of the tank regulates thermal expansion and contraction of the oil volume.

Safety Protection: A gas relay monitors internal faults, and a lightning arrester protects against lightning overvoltage.
Bushing Insulation: Ceramic bushings isolate high and low voltage terminals to prevent electrical creepage.
