How do transformer windings support the world of electricity?
In a transformer, windings are an extremely critical part, which is divided into primary windings and secondary windings. The primary winding is connected to the power supply, and when the alternating current passes through, an alternating magnetic field is generated. The secondary winding is in this magnetic field and generates an induced electromotive force based on the principle of electromagnetic induction.

The windings are usually wound with highly conductive copper or aluminum wires. The thickness and number of turns of the wires are designed according to the voltage level, capacity and other parameters of the transformer. For example, the high-voltage winding has more turns and the wires are relatively thin, because it needs to withstand high voltage and increase the number of turns to achieve high voltage output; while the low-voltage winding has fewer turns and thicker wires to adapt to the transmission of large currents. In addition, in order to reduce the energy loss of the winding itself, high-quality wires with low resistance are selected, which is crucial to improving the overall efficiency of the transformer. The scientific design and manufacture of windings are the basis for stable operation and efficient voltage transformation of transformers.
