The biggest difference between oil-immersed transformers and dry-type transformers is that oil-immersed transformers place coils in transformer oil. Transformer oil plays an important role in the operation of oil-immersed transformers. In addition, due to various reasons such as installation, the oil in the oil-immersed transformer will gradually decrease. In order to ensure the normal operation of the transformer, it is necessary to refuel the transformer in time. Next, I will share with you how to refuel an oil-immersed transformer.
Refueling method of oil-immersed transformer:
1. The first step is to turn off the power supply of the oil-immersed transformer and make sure that the voltmeter and ammeter have no data before proceeding.
2. Hang a ground knife on the cabinet of the transformer. If there is no cabinet, disconnect the isolation switch. You must know that safety is the first priority.
3. Even if the switch is turned off, in order to be sure, it is best to use an electric pen to check the electricity and make sure it is correct before proceeding to the next step.
4. After ensuring that there are no unsafe factors, use a funnel to refuel the oil-immersed transformer. During the oil filling process, pay attention to the oil mark on the edge of the oil pillow, and add it to three-fifths of the oil mark.
5. After adding, tighten the sealing cap of the oil filling hole, and then twist it back a little to ensure that the ventilation hole is unobstructed.
After the above five steps, the refueling work of the oil-immersed transformer is completed.
