The operating voltage of the power transformer should generally not be higher than 105% of the operating tap voltage, and shall not exceed the maximum operating voltage of the system. For special use cases, operation at no more than 110% of the rated voltage is allowed.
The temperature of the top oil of an oil-immersed transformer should not exceed the operating procedures or manufacturer's regulations. For forced oil circulation water-cooled transformers, the top oil temperature should generally not exceed 700°C.
Transformers with strong oil circulation cooling should be able to control the cooler switching according to temperature and/or load.
When a transformer is put into operation, the indications of the instrument should be constantly monitored and the operation status of the transformer should be grasped in a timely manner. If defects or abnormalities are found, measures should be taken to eliminate them promptly. If it cannot be eliminated at that time, surveillance must be strengthened. Prevent the expansion of accidents. and determine countermeasures as soon as possible.
1. Transformer cooling water system water supply method
When the transformer is running under load, the cooling water is generally taken from the technical water supply pipe of the unit. When the transformer is under no-load operation, the cooling water is generally taken from the public water supply main pipe of the power station, and is pressurized by the no-load cooling water pump to supply water to the transformer.
2. Drainage method of transformer cooling water system
Under normal circumstances, the cooling water when the transformer is no-load and loaded is discharged to the tail water pipe of the unit through the drainage main pipe of the unit's technical water supply system. There is a communication valve between the drain pipes of each transformer. The communication valve is normally closed. When the draft pipe of the unit is required to be emptied and the transformer is still in narrow load operation. The communication valve between this transformer and adjacent transformers can be opened to discharge the no-load cooling water to the draft pipes of other units.
