Ⅰ. Understanding the Three-Phase Oil-Immersed Transformer

The three-phase oil-immersed transformer is fully oil-filled and sealed, which helps prevent oil leakage. According to oil-immersed transformer manufacturers, the corrugated oil tank shell of the three-phase oil-immersed transformer adapts to the expansion of oil with its own elasticity and is a permanently sealed oil tank. Oil-immersed transformers are widely used in various power distribution equipment. The core part of the three-phase oil-immersed transformer consists of a closed iron core and a winding set on the iron core column. Additionally, it includes fuel tanks, oil conservators, casings, breathing apparatus, explosion-proof pipes, radiators, tap changers, gas relays, thermometers, oil purifiers, and other components.

Ⅱ. Advantages of Three-Phase Oil-Immersed Transformers

The low-voltage winding of the three-phase oil-immersed transformer generally adopts a cylindrical structure with copper foil wound around the shaft, except for small-capacity copper wire. The high-voltage winding adopts a multi-layer cylindrical structure, balancing the ampere-turn distribution of the winding. This results in minimal magnetic flux leakage, high mechanical strength, and strong short-circuit resistance.

The iron core and winding of the three-phase oil-immersed transformer are tightened separately. The height of the transformer, the low-voltage leads, and other tightening parts are equipped with self-locking anti-loosening nuts, and a non-hanging structure is used to withstand the shock of transportation.

The coil and iron core are dried in a vacuum, and the transformer oil undergoes vacuum oil filtering and oil injection processes, reducing the moisture inside the transformer to a minimal level.

The oil tank uses corrugated sheets, and the three-phase oil-immersed transformer features a breathing function to compensate for the volume change of the oil caused by temperature fluctuations. As a result, this product does not require an oil conservator, significantly reducing the height of the transformer.

Since the corrugated sheet replaces the oil conservator, the oil in the three-phase oil-immersed transformer is isolated from the outside environment. This effectively prevents the entry of oxygen and moisture, which could otherwise degrade the insulation performance.
